Peter Bartelme
Senior Counselor- Media Relations
Peter Bartelme is a trusted communications advisor to Fortune 500 companies, community organizations and non-profit groups that face reputation challenges. He specializes in media relations, crisis communications planning and response, community relations and public affairs.
Working closely with his clients, Bartelme draws upon his extensive two decades of experience in public relations and journalism to develop and implement effective strategic communications programs. He provides counsel to organizations such as ChevronTexaco, Forest City Development, the California Earthquake Authority, Matson Navigation, Clean Bay and The Yosemite Fund.
Bartelme launched Profile Strategies in 1998 after eight years as a partner and senior vice president at The PBN Company - one of the top issue management firms in the United States. While there, he held key managerial roles in high-profile projects including, the Huntington Beach Oil Spill, President and Mrs. Gorbachev's Bay Area Visit, the Clio Awards and work for Unocal, TRW and Irwin Memorial Blood Centers. In recognition of his work, Bartelme is the recipient of multiple industry awards.
Earlier in his career, he held positions at KRON-TV/San Francisco, WCVB-TV/Boston and NBC Network News.
Bartelme earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Political Science from Boston College. He lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
